Southern Meatloaf
A classic Southern meatloaf with a tangy ketchup glaze — comfort food at its finest.
Ingredients
- 2.00 lb ground beef
- 1.00 cup breadcrumbs
- 2.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 onion , finely diced
- 0.50 cup green bell pepper
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 0.50 cup whole milk
- 2.00 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper
- glaze: 1/2 cup ketchup , 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, milk, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper together.

Do not overmix.

Shape into a loaf in a 9x5 loaf pan or on a baking sheet.

Mix glaze ingredients and spread half over loaf.

Bake 45 minutes.

Spread remaining glaze over top.

Bake 15-20 more minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
