Cornbread Crusted Catfish
Catfish fillets crusted with seasoned cornmeal and baked until crispy.
Ingredients
- 4.00 cup atfish fillets
- 1.50 cup cornmeal
- 0.50 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tsp cajun seasoning
- 1.00 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 2.00 eggs
- 0.25 cup buttermilk
- 3.00 tbsp butter
- lemon wedges
Instructions

Mix cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Mix eggs and buttermilk together.

Dip catfish in egg mixture then press firmly into cornmeal mixture.

Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Brown catfish 3 minutes per side.

Transfer to oven.

Bake at 400°F for 10-12 minutes until crust is crispy and fish flakes easily.
