Southern Dumplings
Flat rolled dumplings cooked in rich chicken broth.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tbsp baking powder
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 0.75 cup whole milk
- 3.00 tbsp butter
- chicken broth for cooking

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.

Add milk and melted butter and stir until just combined.

Bring chicken broth to a simmer in a wide pot.

Drop tablespoon-sized dumplings into simmering broth.

Cook covered 15 minutes without lifting lid.

Dumplings are done when they are cooked through and fluffy.
