Ingredients

  • 4.00 cup fresh corn kernels , cut from the cob
  • 4.00 strips bacon
  • 2.00 tbsp butter
  • 0.50 cup onion
  • salt , pepper, and sugar to taste

Instructions

    Cook bacon in a cast iron skillet until crispy.

    Remove bacon and crumble.

    Leave about 2 tbsp drippings in the skillet.

    Add butter and onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

    Add corn and cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.

    Let corn sit and char slightly between stirs.

    Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
