Fried Potatoes and Onions
Sliced potatoes pan fried with onions in bacon drippings until crispy.
Ingredients
- 4.00 medium potatoes , peeled and sliced thin
- 1.00 l arge onion , sliced
- 3.00 tbsp bacon drippings or butter
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder
Instructions

Heat bacon drippings in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.

Add potato slices in a single layer as much as possible.

Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.

Cook without stirring 5-6 minutes until bottom is golden.

Flip and add sliced onion.

Cook stirring occasionally 10-15 more minutes until potatoes are tender and golden all over.
