Southern Chicken Stew
A thick and creamy chicken stew with vegetables served over rice or biscuits.
Ingredients
- 2.00 lb bone-in chicken thighs
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 3.00 cup arrots , diced
- 3.00 potatoes , diced
- 2.00 stalks celery , diced
- 4.00 cup chicken broth
- 1.00 cup frozen peas
- 3.00 tbsp butter
- 3.00 tbsp flour
- salt , pepper, and thyme to taste

Season chicken with salt and pepper.

Brown in butter in a large pot.

Remove and set aside.

Add garlic.

Sprinkle in flour and stir.

Pour in broth.

Return chicken to pot with carrots, potatoes, and thyme.

Simmer covered 45 minutes until chicken is tender.
