Southern Beef Stew
Chunks of chuck roast slow cooked with potatoes, carrots, and onions.
Ingredients
- 2.00 lb beef chuck , cubed
- 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 3.00 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 4.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 3.00 cup arrots , diced
- 3.00 potatoes , diced
- 2.00 stalks celery , diced
- 4.00 cup beef broth
- salt , pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce to taste
Instructions

Season beef and dust with flour.

Brown in batches in hot oil.

Remove and set aside.

Sautรฉ onion and celery until softened.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Return beef to pot.

Add broth, thyme, and Worcestershire.

Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer covered 1 1/2 hours.

Add carrots and potatoes.

Cook 45 more minutes until all is tender.
