Keto Fried Cabbage with Bacon
Smoky bacon and butter-sauteed cabbage cooked down low and slow until sweet and tender. A Southern staple.
Ingredients
- 1.00 head green cabbage chopped
- 8.00 strips thick cut bacon chopped
- 1.00 sweet onion diced
- 3.00 cloves garlic minced
- 2.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.00 tsp red pepper flakes
- 0.00 Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy then remove leaving drippings.

Add butter to drippings and saute onion 3 minutes until softened.

Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook 1 minute.

Add cabbage and toss to coat in the drippings.

Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally 15 to 20 minutes until cabbage is tender and caramelized.

Add apple cider vinegar and toss.

Season generously with salt and pepper.

Top with crispy bacon and serve hot.
