Creole Chicken
Chicken braised in a rich Creole tomato sauce with peppers and onions.
Ingredients
- 4.00 bone-in chicken pieces
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 1.00 g reen bell pepper , diced
- 3.00 stalks celery , diced
- 4.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 1.00 cup an tomatoes
- 1.00 cup chicken broth
- 1.00 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1.00 tsp thyme
- salt and pepper
- cooked white rice
Instructions

Season chicken with Cajun seasoning and salt.

Brown in oil in a Dutch oven.

Remove and set aside.

Sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery until softened.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Add tomatoes, broth, and thyme.

Return chicken to pot.

Simmer covered 45-50 minutes until very tender.

Serve over white rice with pan sauce.
