Smothered Potatoes
Potatoes slow cooked in onion gravy until tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 6.00 medium potatoes , peeled and sliced
- 1.00 l arge onion , sliced
- 4.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 cup chicken broth
- salt , pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat.

Add potato and onion slices.

Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Pour in chicken broth.

Cover and cook 15 minutes.

Remove cover and stir gently.

Continue cooking 10-15 more minutes until potatoes are very tender and most of the broth has evaporated.
