Chess Pie
A simple Southern chess pie with a rich buttery custard filling.
Ingredients
- 1.00 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1.50 cup sugar
- 0.50 cup butter
- 4.00 l arge eggs
- 0.25 cup whole milk
- 1.00 tbsp cornmeal
- 1.00 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.00 tsp apple cider vinegar

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Whisk together sugar and melted butter.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Add milk, cornmeal, vanilla, and vinegar and mix until smooth.

Pour into unbaked pie crust.

Bake 45-50 minutes until filling is set and lightly golden on top.
