Peach Ice Cream
Fresh Georgia peach ice cream churned smooth and creamy.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup fresh peaches peeled and
- 0.75 cup sugar for peaches
- 2.00 cup heavy cream
- 1.00 cup whole milk
- 0.75 cup sugar
- 4.00 l arge egg yolks
- 1.00 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Instructions

Toss diced peaches with 3/4 cup sugar and let sit 30 minutes.

Mash half the peaches.

Whisk egg yolks with 3/4 cup sugar until pale.

Heat milk and cream until steaming.

Slowly whisk hot cream into egg yolks.

Return to pan and cook over medium heat stirring until custard coats a spoon.

Strain through a sieve.

Stir in vanilla, salt, and mashed peaches.

Chill completely.

Churn in ice cream maker.

Add diced peach pieces during last 5 minutes of churning.

Freeze until firm.
