Cheese Grits Casserole
Baked grits loaded with sharp cheddar, butter, and eggs — perfect for a crowd.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cup stone-ground grits
- 8.00 cup water
- 2.00 tsp salt
- 0.50 cup butter
- 2.00 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 3.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup whole milk
- 0.50 tsp garlic powder
- black pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Bring water and salt to a boil.

Slowly whisk in grits, reduce heat, and cook 20-25 minutes until thick.

Remove from heat and stir in butter and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese.

Let cool slightly then stir in beaten eggs and milk.

Season with garlic powder and pepper.

Pour into prepared baking dish.

Top with remaining cheese.

Bake 45-50 minutes until set and golden on top.
