Chocolate Pound Cake
A dense chocolate pound cake with a rich chocolate glaze.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.50 cup cocoa powder
- 0.50 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1.00 cup butter
- 3.00 cup sugar
- 6.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup sour cream
- 2.00 tsp vanilla
- chocolate glaze: 1 cup chocolate chips , 1/2 cup heavy cream

Preheat oven to 325°F and grease a large tube pan.

Cream butter and sugar until very fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Mix flour with cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

Alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream.

Stir in vanilla.

Pour into pan and bake 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes.

Cool in pan 15 minutes then turn out.

Make glaze by heating cream and pouring over chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.

Drizzle over cooled cake.
