Butter Roll
A simple Southern butter roll made with biscuit dough and butter.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tbsp baking powder
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 6.00 tbsp cold butter
- 0.75 cup whole milk
- sauce: 1/2 cup butter , 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups whole milk

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in cold butter until crumbly.

Add milk and stir until dough forms.

Roll into a rectangle.

Roll up tightly into a log.

Slice into 12 rounds and place in dish.

Make sauce by simmering butter, sugar, vanilla, and milk until sugar dissolves.

Pour sauce over rolls.

Bake 35-40 minutes until rolls are golden and sauce is bubbly.
