Baked Mac and Cheese
Extra cheesy baked macaroni with a crispy breadcrumb topping.
Ingredients
- 1.00 lb elbow macaroni
- 4.00 tbsp butter
- 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 3.00 cup whole milk
- 2.00 cup sharp cheddar
- 1.00 cup colby jack
- 1.00 tsp dry mustard
- salt and pepper
- 1.00 cup breadcrumbs mixed with 2 tbsp butter

Cook macaroni until just underdone and drain.

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Make cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, slowly adding milk, cooking until thick.

Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups cheddar, all Colby jack, dry mustard, salt, and pepper.

Mix with macaroni and pour into greased 9x13 dish.

Top with remaining cheddar and buttered breadcrumbs.

Bake 25-30 minutes until golden.
