Brown Butter Rice Crispy Treats
Classic rice crispy treats made with brown butter and sea salt.
Ingredients
- 6.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 6.00 cup miniature marshmallows
- 6.00 cup crispy rice cereal

Grease a 9x13 pan.

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until butter turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove from heat.

Add vanilla and salt.

Add marshmallows and stir until melted — the residual heat should melt them, or return briefly to low heat.

Fold in cereal quickly.

Press into prepared pan using a greased spatula.
