Biscuit Gravy Pie
A savory pie with a biscuit crust filled with sausage gravy and topped with biscuit pieces.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tbsp baking powder
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 6.00 tbsp cold butter
- 0.75 cup buttermilk
- 1.00 lb breakfast sausage
- 0.33 cup flour for gravy
- 2.50 cup whole milk
- salt and pepper
- 1.00 cup cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.

Make biscuit dough by cutting butter into flour mixture then adding buttermilk.

Press dough into bottom and up sides of pie dish to form a crust.

Brown sausage in a skillet, sprinkle with flour, slowly add milk, stir until thick gravy forms.

Season with salt and pepper.

Pour gravy into biscuit crust.

Top with shredded cheese.

Bake 25-30 minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
