Vidalia Onion Casserole
Sweet Vidalia onions baked with butter, cheese, and crackers.
Ingredients
- 4.00 l arge vidalia onions , sliced
- 4.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 cup swiss cheese
- 1.00 cup an cream of mushroom soup
- 0.25 cup white wine
- salt and pepper
- french fried onions for topping

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Sauté sliced onions in butter over medium-low heat until very soft and caramelized, about 30 minutes.

Stir in soup and wine.

Season with salt and pepper.

Pour into a greased 9x9 baking dish.

Top with Swiss cheese and french fried onions.

Bake 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
