Baked Cheese Grits
Stone ground grits baked with sharp cheddar, butter, and a touch of hot sauce.
Ingredients
- 1.00 cup quick-cooking grits
- 4.00 cup water
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 0.50 cup butter
- 2.00 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 3.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup whole milk
- 0.50 tsp garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp cayenne
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart baking dish.

Cook grits in salted water according to package directions.

Stir in butter and 1 1/2 cups cheese until melted.

Cool slightly then stir in eggs, milk, garlic powder, and cayenne.

Pour into baking dish.

Top with remaining cheese.

Bake 45 minutes until set and golden.
