Southern Slaw
A vinegar-based coleslaw with cabbage, peppers, and celery seed.
Ingredients
- 1.00 head green cabbage , shredded
- 1.00 cup carrots
- 0.50 cup mayonnaise
- 2.00 tbsp sugar
- 2.00 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.00 tsp celery seed
- salt and pepper
Instructions

Shred cabbage finely and combine with carrots.

Mix mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, celery seed, salt, and pepper.

Pour over cabbage and toss well.

Taste and adjust seasoning adding more sugar or vinegar as desired.

Chill at least 1 hour.

Serve cold alongside barbecue or fried fish.
