Creamed Spinach
Fresh spinach cooked in a rich cream sauce with garlic and nutmeg.
Ingredients
- 2.00 lb fresh spinach
- 3.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 small onion , finely diced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 3.00 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1.50 cup whole milk
- 0.50 cup heavy cream
- salt , pepper, and nutmeg to taste
Instructions

Wilt spinach in a large pot with a little water.

Drain very well, squeezing out all moisture.

Chop roughly.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Sautรฉ onion until very soft.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.

Gradually add milk and cream, stirring until smooth and thick.

Fold in spinach.
