Keto Southern Green Beans
Old school Southern green beans simmered low and slow with bacon grease until fall-apart tender just like Grandma made.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cans cut green beans drained
- 4.00 strips bacon chopped
- 2.00 tbsp bacon grease
- 1.00 tbsp butter
- 2.00 cloves garlic minced
- 1.00 cup chicken broth
- 1.00 tbsp Italian dressing
- 0.00 Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook bacon in a saucepan over medium heat until crispy then remove leaving drippings.

Add butter and garlic and cook 1 minute.

Add drained green beans chicken broth and Italian dressing.

Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered 35 to 45 minutes until almost all liquid has evaporated.

Stir occasionally — beans will soften and begin to fall apart which is exactly right.

Season with salt and pepper.

Top with crispy bacon and serve hot.
