Southern Grits Bowl
Creamy stone-ground grits topped with cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles and a fried egg.
Ingredients
- 1.00 cup stone-ground grits
- 4.00 cup water
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 2.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 cup cheddar cheese
- 4.00 slice bacon
- 4.00 l arge eggs
- black pepper
Instructions

Bring water and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan.

Slowly whisk in grits.

Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, for 20-25 minutes until thick and creamy.

Stir in butter and cheddar cheese.

Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble.
