Southern Chicken Noodle Soup
Comforting chicken soup with egg noodles, carrots, and celery.
Ingredients
- 1.00 whole chicken , cut up
- 8.00 cup water
- 2.00 cup egg noodles
- 3.00 cup arrots , diced
- 3.00 stalks celery , diced
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- salt , pepper, and thyme to taste
- fresh parsley
Instructions

Place chicken in a large pot with water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.

Bring to a boil then simmer 1 hour until chicken is very tender.

Remove chicken and shred meat from bones.

Strain broth and return to pot.

Bring broth to a boil and add egg noodles.

Cook noodles 8-10 minutes until tender.

Return shredded chicken to soup.

Adjust seasoning and garnish with fresh parsley.
