Sawmill Gravy
Classic white gravy made with sausage drippings and whole milk, perfect over biscuits.
Ingredients
- 1.00 lb bulk pork sausage
- 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
- 3.00 cup whole milk
- 0.50 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 tsp salt
- pinch of cayenne pepper
Instructions

Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking into small crumbles.

Do not drain the fat.

Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to coat evenly.

Cook 1-2 minutes to cook the flour.

Slowly pour in milk, stirring constantly.

Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

Season with black pepper, salt, and cayenne.

Serve hot over biscuits.
