Chocolate Fudge
Rich and creamy old fashioned chocolate fudge made on the stovetop.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup sugar
- 0.75 cup cocoa powder
- 0.13 tsp salt
- 1.50 cup whole milk
- 4.00 tbsp butter
- 1.50 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.00 cup pecans
Instructions

Butter an 8x8 baking dish.

Combine sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk in a heavy saucepan.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

Cook without stirring until mixture reaches 235-240°F on a candy thermometer.

Remove from heat.

Add butter and vanilla but do not stir.

Cool to 110°F without disturbing.

Beat vigorously until fudge thickens and loses its gloss.

Stir in pecans if using.

Pour into prepared dish.
