Pineapple Upside Down Cake
A classic pineapple upside down cake with caramelized brown sugar.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup butter
- 1.00 cup brown sugar
- 1.00 cup an pineapple rings
- maraschino cherries
- cake: 1 1/2 cups flour , 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter softened, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Pour melted butter into a 9x13 pan and spread brown sugar over it.

Arrange pineapple rings on sugar and place a cherry in each ring.

Make cake batter by creaming butter and sugar, beating in eggs, then alternating flour mixture and pineapple juice.

Pour batter over pineapple.

Bake 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool 5 minutes then carefully invert onto a serving platter.

Serve warm.
