Lemon Pound Cake
A bright lemon pound cake with a tart lemon glaze.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.50 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1.00 cup butter
- 3.00 cup sugar
- 6.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup sour cream
- zest of 2 lemons
- 3.00 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2.00 tsp vanilla
- lemon glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar , 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Preheat oven to 325ยฐF and grease a large tube pan.

Cream butter and sugar until very fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

Alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream.

Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla.

Pour into pan and bake 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes.

Cool in pan 15 minutes then turn out.

Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.

Drizzle over cooled cake.

Let glaze set before slicing.
