Chocolate Chess Pie
A chocolate version of the classic Southern chess pie.
Ingredients
- 1.00 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1.50 cup sugar
- 3.00 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2.00 l arge eggs
- 0.50 cup butter
- 0.50 cup whole milk
- 1.00 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.00 tbsp all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Whisk together sugar and cocoa.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Stir in melted butter, milk, vanilla, and flour until smooth.

Pour into unbaked pie crust.

Bake 45-50 minutes until set.

Center may jiggle slightly but will firm as it cools.

Cool completely before slicing.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
