Molasses Cookies
Soft spiced molasses cookies rolled in sugar and baked chewy.
Ingredients
- 2.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 2.00 tsp baking soda
- 1.00 tsp cinnamon
- 1.00 tsp ginger
- 0.50 tsp cloves
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 0.75 cup butter
- 1.00 cup sugar
- 1.00 l arge egg
- 0.25 cup molasses
- sugar for rolling
Instructions

Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.

Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy.

Beat in egg and molasses.

Stir in flour mixture until dough forms.

Refrigerate 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375ยฐF.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.

Place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes until crinkled and set.
