Ingredients

  • 3.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.00 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.50 tsp salt
  • 1.00 cup butter
  • 2.00 cup sugar
  • 8.00 egg whites stiffly
  • 1.00 cup whole milk
  • 2.00 tsp vanilla
  • filling: 8 egg yolks , 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup pecans, 1 cup shredded coconut, 1/2 cup bourbon

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375°F and grease four 9-inch round pans.

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Mix in flour mixture alternately with milk.

    Fold in stiff egg whites and vanilla.

    Divide among pans.

    Bake 20-25 minutes.

    Make filling by cooking egg yolks, sugar, and butter over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
