Jalapeño Cheese Grits
Creamy grits spiked with pickled jalapeños and sharp cheddar.
Ingredients
- 1.00 cup stone-ground grits
- 4.00 cup water
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 3.00 tbsp butter
- 1.00 cup pepper jack cheese
- 2.00 jalapeños , seeded and finely diced
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- black pepper

Bring water and salt to a boil.

Slowly whisk in grits.

Reduce heat and cook 20-25 minutes, stirring often, until thick and creamy.

Stir in butter and pepper jack cheese until melted.
