Fried Biscuit Donuts
Canned biscuits fried golden and rolled in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
- 2.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tbsp baking powder
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 6.00 tbsp cold butter
- 0.75 cup buttermilk
- oil for frying
- glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar , 1/4 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla
- sprinkles
Instructions

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Cut in cold butter until crumbly.

Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.

Roll to 1/2 inch thick on floured surface.

Cut with donut cutter.

Heat 2 inches of oil to 375ยฐF.

Fry donuts 1-2 minutes per side until golden.

Drain on paper towels.

Make glaze by whisking powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth.

Dip warm donuts in glaze.

Add sprinkles if desired.
