Chocolate Cobbler
A rich self-saucing chocolate cobbler that makes its own chocolate sauce.
Ingredients
- 0.50 cup butter
- 1.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.50 cup sugar
- 0.25 cup cocoa powder
- 2.00 tsp baking powder
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 1.00 cup whole milk
- 2.00 tsp vanilla
- topping: 1 cup sugar , 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1.50 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Melt butter in a 9x13 baking dish.

Mix flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth.

Spoon batter over melted butter — do not stir.

Mix 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter.

Pour boiling water over everything — do not stir.

Bake 35-40 minutes until set on top.

The magic: a fudgy chocolate sauce forms on the bottom.
