Ingredients

  • 2.00 cup dried great northern beans
  • 2.00 ham hocks
  • 1.00 onion , diced
  • 4.00 cup loves garlic , minced
  • 8.00 cup water
  • salt and pepper
  • cornbread

Instructions

    Soak beans overnight and drain.

    Place ham hocks and beans in a large pot with water, onion, and garlic.

    Bring to a boil then reduce heat.

    Simmer 2-3 hours until beans are very tender and ham falls off the bone.

    Remove ham hocks, shred meat, and return to pot.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Serve with cornbread.
