Cathead Biscuits
Giant hand-formed biscuits as big as a cat's head, baked golden and served with butter.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tbsp baking powder
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 0.50 tsp baking soda
- 0.50 cup cold butter , cubed
- 1.25 cup cold buttermilk
- 2.00 tbsp butter for brushing

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

Cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly.

Add buttermilk and stir until just combined — dough will be sticky.

Using floured hands, drop large mounds of dough onto a greased baking sheet, about the size of a cat\'s head.

Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown.

Brush with melted butter immediately after baking.
