Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce
Day old bread soaked in vanilla custard baked golden with bourbon sauce.
Ingredients
- 8.00 cup day-old french bread , cubed
- 4.00 l arge eggs
- 2.00 cup whole milk
- 1.00 cup heavy cream
- 1.00 cup sugar
- 1.00 tsp vanilla
- 1.00 tsp cinnamon
- 0.50 cup raisins
- bourbon sauce: 1/2 cup butter , 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 egg yolk, 2 tbsp bourbon

Preheat oven to 350ยฐF and grease a 9x13 dish.

Spread bread in dish.

Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Pour over bread and press down.

Scatter raisins on top.

Soak 15 minutes.

Bake 45-50 minutes until set and golden.

Make bourbon sauce: melt butter, whisk in powdered sugar, beat in egg yolk, add bourbon.

Heat gently.

Pour warm sauce over warm pudding.
