Blackberry Jam Cake
A spiced jam cake made with blackberry preserves and cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tsp baking soda
- 1.00 tsp cinnamon
- 0.50 tsp cloves
- 0.50 tsp allspice
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 1.00 cup butter
- 2.00 cup sugar
- 4.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup buttermilk
- 1.00 cup blackberry jam
- caramel frosting: 2 cups brown sugar , 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup milk, 2 cups powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease three 9-inch pans.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Mix flour with spices.

Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk.

Fold in blackberry jam.

Divide among pans and bake 25-30 minutes.

Cool completely.

Make caramel frosting by cooking brown sugar, butter, and milk until boiling, cooling 15 minutes, then beating in powdered sugar.
