Southern Coleslaw
Creamy coleslaw with cabbage, carrots, and a tangy buttermilk dressing.
Ingredients
- 1.00 small head green cabbage , shredded
- 1.00 cup carrots
- 0.50 cup mayonnaise
- 2.00 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.00 tbsp sugar
- 1.00 tsp celery seed
- salt and pepper
Instructions

Shred cabbage very thinly and combine with shredded carrots in a large bowl.

Mix mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper together.

Pour dressing over cabbage mixture.

Toss well to coat.

Taste and adjust seasoning.

Cover and chill at least 1 hour before serving.

The slaw is best after sitting a few hours.
