Grape Hull Pie
A unique Southern pie made with muscadine grape hulls.
Ingredients
- 1.00 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 4.00 cup muscadine grapes
- 1.00 cup sugar
- 3.00 tbsp cornstarch
- 1.00 tbsp butter
- pinch of salt
- top crust or lattice
Instructions

Separate grape skins from pulp by squeezing.

Set skins aside.

Cook pulp over medium heat until seeds loosen.

Press through a strainer to remove seeds.

Combine strained pulp with grape skins.

Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

Stir into grape mixture.

Cook over medium heat until thickened.

Stir in butter.

Pour into unbaked pie crust.

Add top crust or lattice.

Bake at 375ยฐF for 40-45 minutes until golden.
