Turnip Green Soup
Tender turnip greens in a rich pot liquor broth with ham and cornbread.
Ingredients
- 1.00 bunch turnip greens , cleaned and chopped
- 1.00 ham hock
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 6.00 cup chicken broth
- 1.00 cup an white beans , drained
- salt , pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste
- cornbread
Instructions

Simmer ham hock in broth 30 minutes.

Add onion, garlic, and turnip greens.

Add white beans.

Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Simmer 45 minutes until greens are very tender.

Remove ham hock and shred any meat back into soup.

Adjust seasoning and serve with cornbread.
