Southern Tea Cakes
Soft old fashioned sugar cookies flavored with nutmeg and vanilla.
Ingredients
- 3.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 2.00 tsp baking powder
- 0.50 tsp nutmeg
- 0.50 tsp salt
- 1.00 cup butter
- 1.00 cup sugar
- 2.00 l arge eggs
- 0.25 cup buttermilk
- 2.00 tsp vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Mix in buttermilk and vanilla.

Stir in flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt until dough forms.

Wrap and refrigerate 1 hour.

Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness on floured surface.
