Chicken Fried Steak
Tenderized beef steak coated in seasoned flour, fried golden, and smothered in white gravy.
Ingredients
- 4.00 cup ube steaks
- 2.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 2.00 tsp garlic powder
- 1.00 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper
- 2.00 eggs
- 0.50 cup buttermilk
- vegetable oil for frying
- gravy: 3 tbsp drippings , 3 tbsp flour, 2 cups whole milk, salt and pepper

Mix eggs and buttermilk together.

Season cube steaks with salt and pepper.

Dredge in flour, dip in egg mixture, dredge in flour again.

Fry in 1/2 inch of hot oil 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Drain on paper towels.

Make gravy using pan drippings, flour, and milk, stirring until thick.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve steaks smothered in white gravy with mashed potatoes.
