Fried Squash
Yellow squash sliced and pan fried in cornmeal until golden.
Ingredients
- 3.00 medium yellow squash , sliced into rounds
- 1.00 cup cornmeal
- 0.50 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 1.00 tsp black pepper
- 0.50 tsp garlic powder
- 2.00 eggs
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Dip squash rounds in beaten egg.

Dredge in cornmeal mixture.

Heat 1 inch of oil in a skillet to 375°F.

Fry squash in batches 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.

Drain on paper towels.

Season with additional salt if desired.
