  • 1.00 pt fresh oysters , drained
  • 1.00 cup cornmeal
  • 0.50 cup flour
  • 1.00 tsp salt
  • 1.00 tsp black pepper
  • 0.50 tsp cayenne
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 4.00 hoagie rolls
  • lettuce , tomato, pickles
  • remoulade sauce

Instructions

    Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne.

    Dredge oysters in cornmeal mixture.

    Fry in hot oil at 375°F for 2-3 minutes until golden.

    Drain on paper towels.

    Toast hoagie rolls.

    Spread remoulade on rolls.

    Fill with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and fried oysters.
