Fried Oyster Po Boy
Crispy fried Gulf oysters on French bread with remoulade and pickles.
Ingredients
- 1.00 pt fresh oysters , drained
- 1.00 cup cornmeal
- 0.50 cup flour
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 1.00 tsp black pepper
- 0.50 tsp cayenne
- vegetable oil for frying
- 4.00 hoagie rolls
- lettuce , tomato, pickles
- remoulade sauce

Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne.

Dredge oysters in cornmeal mixture.

Fry in hot oil at 375°F for 2-3 minutes until golden.

Drain on paper towels.

Toast hoagie rolls.

Spread remoulade on rolls.

Fill with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and fried oysters.
