Fried Green Tomato BLT
A Southern twist on the BLT with crispy fried green tomatoes instead of fresh.
Ingredients
- 4.00 g reen tomatoes , sliced 1/2 inch thick
- 1.00 cup cornmeal
- 0.50 cup flour
- 1.00 tsp salt
- 1.00 tsp pepper
- 2.00 eggs
- vegetable oil for frying
- 8.00 slice bacon , cooked crispy
- 8.00 l eaves romaine lettuce
- 8.00 slice toasted bread
- 0.33 cup mayonnaise
Instructions

Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper.

Dip tomato slices in beaten egg then dredge in cornmeal mixture.

Fry in hot oil 3 minutes per side until golden.

Drain on paper towels.

Spread mayonnaise on toasted bread.

Layer lettuce, fried green tomatoes, and crispy bacon.
