Caramel Brownies
Fudgy brownies swirled with homemade caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- 1.00 cup butter
- 2.00 cup sugar
- 4.00 l arge eggs
- 1.00 cup cocoa powder
- 1.00 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.00 tsp vanilla
- pinch of salt
- caramel layer: 1 cup brown sugar , 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 pan.

Melt butter and whisk with sugar.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Stir in cocoa, flour, vanilla, and salt.

Spread half the brownie batter in pan.

Make caramel by cooking brown sugar and butter until bubbly, stirring in cream and pecans.

Spread caramel over batter.

Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls over caramel and swirl.

Bake 30-35 minutes until set.
