Beef Short Ribs
Braised beef short ribs in a rich wine and vegetable broth until fork-tender.
Ingredients
- 4.00 lb beef short ribs
- salt and pepper
- 3.00 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1.00 onion , diced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 2.00 cup beef broth
- 1.00 cup red wine
- 2.00 sprigs thyme
- 2.00 bay leaves
Instructions

Season ribs generously with salt and pepper.

Brown all over in hot oil in a Dutch oven.

Remove and set aside.

Sauté onion until softened.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Return ribs to pot.

Add broth, wine, thyme, and bay leaves.

Bring to a boil.

Cover and braise in oven at 325°F for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until fall-off-the-bone tender.

Remove bay leaves.

Skim fat from braising liquid.

Serve ribs with braising liquid as a sauce.
