Smothered Pork Chops
Thick pork chops braised in a rich onion gravy until fall-off-the-bone tender.
Ingredients
- 4.00 thick bone-in pork chops
- 0.50 cup all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper
- 3.00 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1.00 l arge onion , sliced
- 3.00 cup loves garlic , minced
- 2.00 cup chicken broth
- 1.00 tsp thyme
- 0.50 cup sour cream
Instructions

Season pork chops with salt and pepper and dust with flour.

Brown in hot oil 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove and set aside.

Sautรฉ sliced onion in same pan until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Sprinkle in remaining flour and stir.

Pour in broth and thyme, scraping up browned bits.

Return chops to pan.

Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes until very tender.

Stir in sour cream.

Serve chops smothered in gravy over mashed potatoes.
